Mobile App or Mobile Website

If you are planning to establish or improve your online presence, then you need to know the difference between a mobile App and a Mobile Website.
Both are accessed on a mobile device such as smartphones (iPhone, Android, Blackberry…), tablets, and watches.

A Mobile Site is a website that is enhanced for mobile devices. It has been designed and structured to read and navigate easily on any mobile device with any screen size. A mobile app is a software application developed precisely for use on small, wireless computing devices, such as smartphones and tablets, rather than desktop or laptop computers.

When it comes to deciding whether to build a native app or a mobile website, the most suitable choice surely depends on your target. If you are developing an interactive game, an app is probably going to be your best option. However, if your goal is to offer mobile-friendly content to the widest possible audience then a mobile website is probably the way to go. In some cases, you may decide you need both a mobile website and a mobile app, but it is safe to say that it rarely makes sense to build an app without already having a mobile website in place.
A mobile website should be your first step in developing a mobile web presence, while an app is useful for developing an application for a very precise purpose that cannot be efficiently accomplished via a web browser.
